“Crafting Adventure”

Humble Beginnings

We’ve always been into experimenting and trying new things, whether that be with food, music, or hairstyles. We decided to learn how to brew beer when we realized that we wanted to try something different than what was offered at our local bars here on Amelia Island.

In January of 2015 we brewed our very first batch of beer, a dry-hopped Pale Ale. Five weeks later we invited our friends and family to taste our creation. We received such an overwhelming and positive response, that we knew we were onto something and it encouraged us to continue brewing our own beer. Soon, our friends and family would start asking us what we were brewing next, and when it would be ready for them to try!

Since that first batch of beer, we have tried many different recipes and have come to learn the true art and science behind brewing craft beer. From our Coffee Kolsch to Milkshake IPA to our Chocolate Milk Stout we’ve worked long and hard hours to create beer that is intriguing and that appeals to beer geeks like us!

Set Sail for Adventure

Our plan is to open and operate our 5BBL nano-brewery in Nassau County, Florida either in Fernandina Beach, Yulee or Wildlight. It’s all about location. We have spots picked out on the island, in Yulee and Wildlight. Nassau County is a few miles north of Jacksonville and has a diverse Craft Beer scene home to SJ Brewing, Mocama, Disco Witch and First Love. Yulee is the northernmost city on the east coast of Florida. With a rich history and beautiful beaches, Fernandina is home to bountiful wildlife and scenic trails. Home to the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival and the oldest bar in Florida the Palace saloon. Yulee is home to Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry and Wildight is the newest and fastest growing area in North Florida.
